So you will use slope formula which is m = (y2 -- y1) / (x2 -- x1)

-1 minus -7=6

13 minus -8=21

Remember it changes to a positive Keep,Change,Change

So its 6/21

Or 1/4

daser333 [38]
Since you know the amount of what she earns you would use the number 15 and you dont know how long she worked you would put "x" next to the 15. so you would have 15x and then put a plus 5 to show her transportation fee. so you would have the equation of 15x+5:) and instead of x use h to show hours because h=hours

ryzh [129]

Answer: 1050

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of combinations of selecting r things out of n = ^nC_r=\dfrac{n!}{r!(n-r)!}

such that ^nC_1=n

Given: A restaurant menu has 5 kinds of soups, 7kinds of main courses, 6 kinds of desserts, and 5 kinds of drinks.

If a customer randomly selects one item from each of these four categories, then by fundamental counting principle , the number of different outcomes are possible = ^5C_1\times \ ^7C_1\times\ ^6C_1\times\ ^5C_1 =5\times7\times6\times5=1050

hence, total number of outcomes = 1050

A prize wheel is divided into 12 equally likely spaces labeled 1 to 12.
ikadub [295]

Answer:

Events E and F are independent.

Step-by-step explanation:

E = {multiple of 3}  = {3, 6, 9, 12}

P(E) = 4/12

F = {even number}  = {2, 4, 6, 8. 10, 12}

P(F) = 6/12

E and F = {even and multiple of 3} = {6, 12}

P(E∩F) = 2/12

In order for two events to be independent the following relationship must be true:

P(E)*P(F) = P(E\cap F)

Testing this property:

P(E)*P(F) = \frac{4}{12}*\frac{6}{12}=\frac{24}{144}=\frac{1}{6}    \\P(E\cap F) = \frac{2}{12}=\frac{1}{6} \\P(E)*P(F) = P(E\cap F)

The relationship holds true, thus events E and F are independent.
