When writting a perssuasive essay ypu have to be completely sure and know all the aspects of your main argument, of what you want to persuade the reader to believe, if you dominate the topic in your point of view and in the opposition you can refute any allegation they coudl make against you. Its also important to be sure that you can prove your point when debating the matter, this is why both are right.
