An auto mechanic charges (C) an initial fee of $50 and then $40 per hour. If (h) represents hours, how much will the mechanic ch

The charging rate equation for the auto mechanic is C = 50 + 40h(50 for the initial fee and 40 times h for every hour). If he works 10 hours in one day we have to plug in 10 into the hours spot, h.

C = 50 + 40(10)

Now we solve for C

C = 50 + 400

C = 450

The auto mechanic charges $450 for 10 hours.

T(cost) = C + 40h

Given C = $50 and h = 10 hours

T(cost) = 50 + 40(10)

= 50 + 400

= 450

Answer

Total charge: $450

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

the arc length of a circle is calculated as

arc = circumference of circle × fraction of circle

(5)

circumference (C) is calculated as

C = 2πr ( r is the radius )

here diameter = 12 , then r = 12 ÷ 2 = 6

C = 2π × 6 = 12π ≈ 37.7 m ( to the nearest tenth )

(6)

JK = 2πr × \frac{75}{360}

    = 2π × 7 × \frac{5}{24}

    = 14π × \frac{5}{24}

    = \frac{14\pi (5)}{24} ≈ 9.2 in ( to the nearest tenth )

(7)

7.5 = 2πr × \frac{120}{360}

7.5 = 2πr × \frac{1}{3} ( multiply both sides by 3 to clear the fraction )

22.5 = 2πr ( divide both sides by 2π )

r = \frac{22.5}{2\pi } ≈ 3.6 ft

When a measurement in inches is converted to centimeters, will the number of centimeters be greater or less than the number of i
krek1111 [17]
Answer:
The number of centimeters will be greater than the number of inches.

Explanation:
The conversion between an inch (British Units) and centimeter (Metric Units) is
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters.

According to the conversion, every inch is equivalent to more than 2.5  centimeters.

Anna [14]

Answer:

{x}^{4}  = 2880

Step-by-step explanation:

{y}^{2}  = 20 \: (eq . \: 1)

{x}^{2}  =  {(2 \sqrt{3y)} }^{2}  = 12y

Putting value of eq. 1 in the following:

{x}^{4 }  =  {(12y)}^{2}  = 144{y}^{2}  = 144 \times 20 = 2880

Consider the following system of equations:
Inga [223]

Hi there!

»»————- ★ ————-««

I believe your answer is:

"Line y = −2x + 3 intersects line y = x − 5."

»»————- ★ ————-««

Here’s why:

  • When the system of equations are graphed, they would intersect at a point.
  • This means that there is a solution to the system. The solution is (\frac{8}{3} ,-\frac{7}{3} ).
  • While the statement that the lines intersect the x-axis is true, the question asks the statement that describes the <em>solution</em>.
  • The solution is the point of intersection between the two lines.

Hope this helps you. I apologize if it’s incorrect.
