The Third Estate, which had the most representatives, declared itself the National Assembly and took an oath to force a new constitution on the king.</span>

From such events the word "Secession" got renewed, although it was first time used in 1776 when South Carolina demanded separation as the continental congress took decision to charge tax on colonies.

But during late 17th century nearly 11 states from Lower and Upper South isolated their relationship from the Union. The reasons were many like South was supportive of slavery in order to fetch out more labors and follow development by ignoring other's rights.
