Explanation: In his speech given in 1940 Churchill said that an invasion of Britain was difficult because the enemy would have several obstacles from the British Navy. The enemy would need a large army to cross the English channel and it would be intercepted before achieving its goal. That was why, for Churchill, it was not likely to happen.
