Figurative language includes, simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia, oxymoron, hyperbole., allusion and idioms.

"Prim’s face is as fresh as a raindrop, as lovely as the primrose for which she was named." This is an example of a simile.

If he is going with the descriptive investigation approach, everything will mostly be done qualitatively. This approach does not focus on the conclusive result of the study. Instead, it focuses on the detailed path to get to an effective analytical tools, approach or methodolody towards the conclusion.

List two devies of repetition in song of slves in the dessert .give examples and explain why whittier used these devices
Simora [160]
Whittier used "We" and "Thou" as forms of repetition in his song of slaves in the desert.

We: He used we as to show that basically slaves WERE NOT alone in this at all. In a way at that time, every single slave was connected with each other no matter what.

Thou: From what i have seen, Whittier is using "Thou" to refer to God. For example: "We are fools, but Thou art wise"

For the devices, he's using Anaphora for "Thou" and maybe Conduplicatio for "We".
