Not sure what wat you refer to...but after WWI the US saw themselves in the Great Depression due to self economic dispute and the the deal to fund Germany which would pay back France and Britain. After WWII they almost immediately entered the Cold War with the Soviet Union.

Had he been silent, he would not have confessed his crime. Had he had an attorney, he would have known about his fifth amendment rights.

After WW2 ended, the cold war begun, which was the race against the democratic powers the communist powers. This resulted in many proxy wars and was one of the biggest outcomes of WW2.
