note: His executive privilege was not violated, he actually thought that because he had executive privilege as a president, he could get away with not showing congress his tape.

When President Nixon finally turned in transcripts of the Watergate tapes, the transcripts showed that Nixon had covered up the Watergate Scandal.

While Nixon did not plan the Watergate break-in, because of the politics involved, he decided to cover-up the scandal so that the Republicans had the higher chance to win. Because of this cover-up, it led to Nixon's resignation, as well as the impeachment of many of Nixon's officials.

When Constantine tried to establish New Rome he was witnessing a different change in Europe take place than what happened in prior centuries. With his divison of the Roman Empire in the Western and Eastern Roman Empire, he was able to succesfully save a whole part of the Empire.

Constantinople was therefore the new Roman capital. The Eastern Roman empire flourished for another thousand years, while the Western one declined in a few centuries.
