A type of music that uses two or more independent melodies.

A. Write letter names underneath each note in the blanks provided.
Sliva [168]
A: E C F E D
B: 8 measures, 4 beats per measure
C: 4/4 time signature
D: piano, play soft and quiet. Mezzo forte, medium loud, it does not need to be louder than forte but it also should not be quiet. The crescendo to forte means that over the measure you gradually slide into loud without making it too sudden.
I don’t really know about E. I can tell that there is variation in the middle when it breaks from the pattern. Look at how it repeats in measure 2 and 7.

What instrument belongs to the woodwind category
Akimi4 [234]
It's hard to answer this since you have no options, but here is a list of woodwind instruments. Maybe one of these are on your assignment.

Oboes, Clarinets, and Bassoons. There is also the Piccolo, the Tin Whistle, Ocarina, and my very favorites - the Saxophone and the Flute.

They all have a wooden mouthpiece which is required before playing any of these instruments. Hope I could help!

Please discuss the spectrum of exoticism using Bizet’s Carmen and either Debussy’s Pagodes OR McPhee’s Tabuh-Tabuhan. What are t
Dennis_Churaev [7]

In these two works of art, we can appreciate the effect of exoticism. In the case of Bizet's Carmen, the author presents the story of a gypsy woman in Spain, Carmen. The story was an early example of realism, as the subject matter is common and harsh. Moreover, Carmen is far from the feminine ideal of the time, as she comes from the lower classes and exhibits many characteristics of dubious quality.

In Debussy's Pagodes, the composer evokes the sound of gamelan music (percusive instruments of the Javanese, Sundanese and Balinese people of Indonesia) while attempting to evoke the sounds of traditional Indonesian music. The ascending melodic line serves as a reminder of pagodas, which are the temples of these regions.

Exoticism refers to a trend in European art in which artists looked for inspiration in "exotic" places or cultures. The purpose of this inclusion was to generate curiosity and excitement for subjects that had never been encountered in Europe before. Both Bizet and Debussy included these exotic characteristics in their work for this reason, hoping that such elements would give a charming and mysterious quality to their work.
