Which words best help the reader understand the meaning word "glibly" in the following sentence from the story? To know the Old

and New Testaments by heart and be able to recite them glibly, forward or backward, or begin at random anywhere in the book and recite both ways and never trip or make a mistake, is no extravagant mass of knowledge, and no marvelous facility, compared to a pilot's massed knowledge of the Mississippi and his marvelous facility in the handling of it.

kow [346]

In 1840, the transcendentalist periodical The Dial was founded, and in that same year it published "Orphic Sayings" by Amos Bronson Alcott.

The Dial was a journal that supported the transcendentalists' philosophy, influenced by Immanuel Kant. Transcendentalism believes in the inherent goodness of people and nature and reinforces the idea that society is capable of corrupting the soul of an individual. Furthermore, "Orphic Sayings" was one of Alcott's contribution to The Dial. Alcott's work got favorable reviews and was considered highly valuable for its philosophy. In that way, "Orphic Sayings" was famous for expressing the mystical idealism of the author. The last "Orphic Sayings" was published in 1842.

B. to express reverence for the lost soldiers.

Reverence means ‘high esteem’; the speech not only focuses on them and their bravery, but emphasises on the extent of impact that they made, and how brave they were in such conditions.

Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

O, that I were a man for his sake! Or that I had any friend would be a man for my sake! But manhood is melted into curtsies, valor into compliment, and men are only turned into tongue, and trim ones, too. He is now as vallient as Hercules that only tells a lie and swears it. I cannot be a man with wishing; therefore I will die a woman with grieving

What is the message in these lines?

Explanation:

The lines quoted in question statement have been taken from Much Ado About Nothing written by famous writer Shakespeare.

The theme that can be deduced from the above lines is that at times people fail to honor the social integrity. There are few people who do the right thing to save their integrity, most find excuses that they couldn't do the right things becuase of some social or other barriers and are happy to live with that excuse like Beatrice in above paragraph, we accept dying believing there wasn’t really anything we could have done
