Whilst Liberalism is founded on ideas of freedom, equality and liberty. Social Democracy is the best balance of freedom and equality because it promotes social justice in a capitalist economy and a liberal democratic view. Also, communism has, historically, a poor reputation for freedom and equality. For example, China and North Korea are current communist countries and Russia previously was a communist country after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917.

Why do you think most immigrants settled in the northern United States rather than in the south?
Aleksandr [31]
Because in the south there was more segregation. Also there was more land that had been untouched in the north. The property was also cheaper because of that reason. And since it was untouched a lot of businesses came in to drill for oil and other natural resources, which created the need for workers.

The Constitution set up a set of checks and balances among the three branches of government. Explain at least one specific way t
Dmitrij [34]

The constitution of the United States set up a set of checks and balances among the three branches of government. The Legislative, Executive and Judicial powers constitute the structure of the american government, and they have power to check each other's way of work.

One example of the check and balance system is that the Supreme court of the United States may check congress by declaring a law passed by this one as unconstitutional. This is a clear check limit used against the legislative power, that is the congress. But on the other hand, the power is balanced because the members of the Supreme Court are appointed by the President of the country (the Executive power), and to be appointed they have to be approved by the Congress.
