Inferno, Cantos I-II;
Dante is wandering in a dark forest since he lost the way on the "true path". He does not remember how he lost his way; above, he spots a great hill that might offer him some protection from the shadowed glen.
As Dante tries to climb towards the light, he encounters three angry beasts; one of them, the third one, to be exact, is a she-wolf. The other two are a leopard and a lion.
I would say probably exposition? I'm not sure though

2.Land
4.Conseil
5.Aronnax
Explanation:
In the book, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, some men aboard the American ship, the Abraham Lincoln, search for a sea creature which was possibly an enormous narwhal.
Eight months into the trip the men find the creature in Japanese waters and when they attempt to follow it, they shoot a harpoon at it. The creature then collides with the Abraham Lincoln and Aronnax and Conseil go overboard along with Land.
