Answer:

Antioxidants

Explanation:

Let's get to know what antioxidants are and how they help the body remove potentially damaging agents.

<em>Antioxidants- </em>These are substances that are naturally present in food. They protect the body's cells by fighting against<u> "free radicals."</u>

<em>Free Radicals-</em> These are particularly atoms or molecules in the body that scavenge in order to find a pair. They often take away the electrons from other atoms. This allows them to become more stable, but resulting in many more free radicals (since the other atoms have lost their paired electrons).

<u><em>Free radicals are produced through the breaking down of food in the body or during the exposure to harmful substances such as tobacco and the like. </em></u>They contain oxygen. If a person's human body produces many free radicals, then he is prone to advanced aging or to having diseases such as cancer and heart disease.<u> In order to slow down the process, antioxidants comes to play the role. </u>

The antioxidant's role is to protect the body's cells from the free radicals. <u><em>It inhibits the "oxidation."</em></u>

Foods rich in antioxidants are: carrots, berries, grapes, milk, eggplant, etc. Most fruits and vegetables are enriched with antioxidants.

What are the dangers of having a child at too young an age (16 or 17)? how can it affect the young mother's and or father's life
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

It is clear that being a child of a teenage mother often entails numerous risks: low birth weight, complications of the mother's pregnancy and delivery, and health problems associated with poor perinatal outcomes; greater risk of perinatal death; lower IQ and academic achievement later on, including a greater risk of repeating a grade; greater risk of socio-emotional problems; a greater risk of having a fatal accident before age one; and finally, a greater probability of starting one's own family at an early age. Although there are variations from study to study, most studies that survey a representative sample from a population that has had no special interventions and is of diverse socioeconomic makeup, and that do not control for SES or other factors, find that children of teen parents are at greater risk than children of older parents for a host of health, social and economic problems.

Which of the following dental procedures does NOT requires antibiotic prophylaxis for individuals at high risk of bacterial endo
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Post-operative suture removal.

Explanation:

Post-operative suture removal involves the process of removal of sutures after the replacement of 1-2 weeks. Early removal may cause the tissue injury or may cause the infection.

The individual that is at high risk of  bacterial endocarditis does not require the post-operative suture removal. Because this removal may increase the chances of infection in the individual and makes the condition even more worse.

Thus, the correct answer is option (B).
