A tattoo is permanent as the religiousness of Philip II once was. Devoted Catholic, one of the main (perhaps <em>the</em> main) focus of his entire rule was to preserve the Catholic faith, having fought his entire life against the other Christian religions and the Muslims. A suiting tattoo for him could be the phrase <em>Deus vult</em>, the war cry shouted by Crusaders gathering in Almafi for the First Crusade, as his own life was a personal crusade to preserve Catholicism.
