<h2>Answer with explanation:</h2>

Let x be the number of sodas and y be the number of hot dogs.

Given : The concession stand at an ice hockey rink had receipts of $6200 from selling a total of 2600 sodas and hot dogs.

If each soda sold for $2 and each hot dog sold for $3.

Then we have a system of two linear equations in two variables :_

x+y=2600--------(1)\\\\2x+3y=6200--------------(2)

Multiply 2 to the each side of equation (1), we get

2x+2y=5200----------(3)

Eliminate equation (3) from equation (2), we get

y=1000

Substitute the value of y in (1), we get

x+1000=2600\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=1600

Hence,  1600 sodas and 1000 hot dogs were sold.

Fudgin [204]

Notice that 45 hours is 3 times the half-life of 15 hours.

After the first 15 hours, 450 g decays to half this amount, 225 g.

After the next 15 (total 30), 225 g decays to 112.5 g.

After the next 15 (total 45), 112.5 g decays to 56.25 g.

F(x) = -2x^5 + x^4 + x^2 -2; find f(-3) and f(4)
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

f(-3) = 574

f(4) = -1778

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = -2x^5 + x^4 + x^2 -2

f(-3) = -2(-3)^5 + (-3)^4 + (-3)^2 -2

\implies f(-3) = -2(-243) + 81 + 9 -2

\implies f(-3) = 486 + 81 + 9 -2

\implies f(-3) = 574

f(4) = -2(4)^5 + (4)^4 + (4)^2 -2

\implies f(4) = -2(1024) + 256 + 16 -2

\implies f(4) = -2048 + 256 + 16 -2

\implies f(4) =-1778

chad randomly chooses a card from a standard deck 30 times. what is the probability he gets a diamond exactly 4 times
Margarita [4]

Answer:

From a standard deck of cards, one card is drawn. What is the probability that the card is black and a jack? P(Black and Jack) P(Black) = 26/52 or ½ , P(Jack) is 4/52 or 1/13 so P(Black and Jack) = ½ * 1/13 = 1/26 A standard deck of cards is shuffled and one card is drawn. Find the probability that the card is a queen or an ace.
