Amylase is a protein made by your pancreas and by glands in and around your mouth and throat. It helps you break down carbohydrates and starches into sugar. It's normal to have some amylase in your blood. But too much of it could mean one of the ducts (tubes) in your pancreas is blocked or injured.
- Amylase breaks down the starch in the cracker into glucose monomer which stimulate sweet receptor in the tongue.
- Amylase break down the glycogen in the receptor which stimulate the sweet receptor in the tongue.
- Lyzozyme breaks down the cellulase in the cracker into glucose monomer which stimulate sweet receptor in the tongue.
Ecologists are the persons who study the interrelationships between organisms and their environments. Like they research upon the species found in forests or deserts interact with each other and as well as their surroundings.
They test whether a species is occupying its complete fundamental niche or only a portion of it by observing if the species are expanding their range after the removal of a competitor because two species with the same fundamental niche will exclude other competing species.
The answer is nitrogen. It is usually regarded as a growth-limiting factor for primary producers such as phytoplankton. It is usually taken up in the ‘fixed’ form of ammonium. It is converted from
dissolved nitrogen gas in ocean surface
to a ‘fixed’ form by particular microbes. Due to increasing global temperatures,
as a result of global warming, the ocean temperatures have increased hence
oceans hold less dissolved oxygen than they used to. The low oxygen concentration in the oceans induces the loss of nitrogen from oceans through increased activity of micro-organisms that are significant in
denitrification. This rate becomes higher than that of nitrification that fixes
nitrogen in the oceans.
An element is a pure substance that cannot be broken down by a chemical reaction.
