Answer: Winston Churchill condemns in his speech the Soviet Union's policies in Europe saying: “From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the continent.”

Explanation:

Churchill's statement was considered a way to announce the beginning of the  Cold War. Churchill gave his speech in Fulton, Missouri after he had been defeated  for re-election as prime minister in 1945.

The main purpose of his speech was to achieve a closer "relationship" between the United States and Great Britain to organize and control the postwar world. He principally tried to warn against the expansionistic policies of the Soviet Union.
