The march primarily focused on gathering support from rural communities which had a high population of Mexican farmworkers. Not only would this march serve as a protest against Reagan and his discriminatory views against Chicanos, but also to garner support for La Raza Unida Party to be on the ballot.

What time did the ancient Hebrew people face after migrating to Canaan?
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

B) The area was easy to attack and invade.

Explanation:

When we want to determine if a country has good natural defenses against invasion we look at the geography. We look for tall mountains or deserts or rivers and swamps or cold winters and so on. They didn't really have such natural barriers against their enemies. They didn't have things to prevent them from trading so A and D is not the answer and they did herd animals.

What efforts did Johnson take to expand civil rights?

Lyndon B. Johnson took office right after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, and he continued with the civil rights cause as a legacy to the former president. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act in 1964 (which prohibited segregation in public facilities, such as transportation and schools, and racial discrimination in employment and education), and transmitted the ceremony through television so the entire country could see it, afterwards he signed the Voting Rights Act (which protected the rights of African Americans to vote). This contributed significantly to the civil rights.

What were the goals of Johnson's Great Society?

The Great Society was a collection of domestic programs, legislations and policy initiatives. The main goals were to reduce violence and crime, to reduce poverty, to create a better environment, to end with inequality and to improve the quality of life by creating health care systems.

What methods did Johnson use to get his reforms passed?

President Lyndon Johnson's main method to get his reforms passed was to publicly propose his Great Society plan during an address delivered at the Ohio University, where he urged Congress to pass the proposed legislation, and urged the wealthy class to support this causes. He called for the nation's support to create a Great Society.

Which of the following is NOT a major theory that explains how the Americas were originally peopled?
densk [106]

Answer:

Right choice:

Africans crossed into South America when Africa and South America were one continent.

Explanation:

Such a statement is totally absurd. Humans as a species had not appeared on planet Earth when present-day Africa and South America were part of the same land mass hundreds of millions year ago. So, African could not cross to South America in the times of Pangea, the only megacontinent in the planet´s evolution. The other options are theories of the origins of man in the Americas, though there´s no consensus in the academic community.
