Answer:

The indentured servants first arrived in US after the settlement of James town colony by Virginia company in 1607. The demand for indentured servant arose out the need for cheap labor. The earliest settlers had lots of land to cultivate and hence they needed people to work on those lands. The passage to colonies was expensive so the Virginia colony developed the system of indentured servitude for attracting the workers. Later they became important for colonial economy. The people came to work in the colonies as indentured servants and accepted indentured slavery because it was better than slavery. The indentured servants used to get some rights along with the room, passage, board, lodging and freedom dues. Some of them used to earn their freedom. Some of the indentured contracts included 25 acres of land, cow, arms and new clothes.

In no more than 3 sentences, describe how the
Church was the center of Medieval communities.
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

How the church shaped medieval life?

The church building was the center of community activity and many parts of daily life. Religious services were held several times a day. Town meetings, plays, and concerts were also held in churches. Merchants had shops around the square in front of the church. For many, the Catholic Church seemed to provide an answer to their suffering. Priests were central figures in Medieval towns and churches were often the most prominent buildings. So central were churches to Medieval towns that they were often social centers as well as religious ones.

The First Great Awakening emphasized that all people were equal, therefore people believed they did not have to rely on a King t
rewona [7]

Answer:

Democratic

Explanation:

The First Great Awakening led to the growth of the DEMOCRATIC government in the colonies.

This is because spiritual or religious equivalence enabled colonists to believe more concerning the desire for democracy in both church and state.

Thereby, the people started believing themselves as leaders, not the monarchs and noblemen like religious leaders.

according to most economics and economic data the income gap between the rich and poor in the United States has grown since 1970
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

AMERICANS do not go in for envy. The gap between rich and poor is bigger than in any other advanced country, but most people are unconcerned. Whereas Europeans fret about the way the economic pie is divided, Americans want to join the rich, not soak them. Eight out of ten, more than anywhere else, believe that though you may start poor, if you work hard, you can make pots of money. It is a central part of the American Dream.

The political consensus, therefore, has sought to pursue economic growth rather than the redistribution of income, in keeping with John Kennedy's adage that “a rising tide lifts all boats.” The tide has been rising fast recently. Thanks to a jump in productivity growth after 1995, America's economy has outpaced other rich countries' for a decade. Its workers now produce over 30% more each hour they work than ten years ago. In the late 1990s everybody shared in this boom. Though incomes were rising fastest at the top, all workers' wages far outpaced inflation.
