Answer:

As explained below.

Explanation:

  • A seismic interpretation s needed to understand the data that is generated from the earthquake waves to understand the subsurface observations. The seismic attributes like the amplitude, phase, wave frequency are used in interpretation but most of them are based on attributes of amplitudes.
  • Instantaneous frequency is used to determine the thickness in beds and recognition through the Subtle faults  and the Stratigraphic pinch outs.
  • Seismic stratigraphy is another field that is based on the depositional bedding planes of the earth's rocks mass fixed in there geologic history. Various types of techniques exist in this framework <u>like flooding surfaces  maximum flooding surfaces   and the erosion surfaces.</u>

Read the scenario and then answer the question.

Elias is driving through the southwest part of the US on a road trip, and gets out of the car to go hiking. While hiking, he notes a very long channel running for miles in one direction. There are no distinct mountains nearby, and he is very far from the ocean. At lunch, the locals tell him there are lots of earthquakes in the area. He also thinks he sees an old road that used to cross the channel, but looks like it has been shifted apart somehow. He recalls what he learned about plate tectonics in class.

Given these clues, what type of plate boundary could Elias possibly be standing on or near?

The answer is: Transform

Which statement about the types of fronts is correct?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

b) Stationary fronts usually are associated with light precipitation and light cloud cover.

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Stationary fronts occur due to a barrier dividing warm and cold air without one displacing the other. There is a slight movement of either the cold or warm air, moreover, at the barrier, fog and light clouds form seeding light rain or snow.

The stationary front may last for days unless the direction of the air changes causing the movement to either cause a cold or warm front or break the front. The boundary created by this phenomenon results in different temperatures and wind on either side of the front.
