Engagements were fought in the Old Southwest (Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi), and the Old Northwest (embracing Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin) it was also fought in Coastal Maine and the Chesapeake.
