Answer:

1) 8

2) 9

3) 8

4) 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, assuming the sides that are numbered are the same length (not sure because no instructions). You have to do is set both equal to each other. An example being:

6 = 2x - 10

16 = 2x

8 = x

And you just do that with the first three problems.

For number 4 set them equal to each other, solve for x and then plug x back into the equation.

2x - 6 = x + 3

x = 9

2(9) - 6 = 18 - 6 = 12

And for number 5 set them equal to each other, solve for x, then plug in x like the previous problem and that's the answer because they are all 90 degree angles.

Samantha puts an initial $500 into a savings account. The account has a 4% annual compound interest rate. What is the function t
Licemer1 [7]
I use a bit of a different looking formula.

A(t)=P(1+r/n)^nt

P=amount of money. (500)
r= rate (in decimal. 4%=0.04)
n=number of times per year (1 in this problem)
t=amount of time. (5 years)

Plugged in it looks like this:

A(t)=500 (1+ 0.04/1)^1x5

Then I put it into my calculator like this:

0.04/1+ 0.04

Then add one to the above answer:

0.04+1=1.04

Then raise the above answer to the 1x5:

1.04^5=1.2166......

Then multiply the above answer by 500:

1.2166.... x 500=608.3264512

She has $608 after 5 years.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Maddie's backyard is 25 meters by 25 meters. She wants to put a square cement patio in her backyard. She does not want the patio
luda_lava [24]

The inequality that represents the possible length of the patio is √A < 625.

How to represent an inequality?

Maddie's backyard is 25 meters by 25 meters.

Therefore,

area of the backyard = 25 × 25 = 625 m²

Hence,

She wants to put a square cement patio in her backyard.

A = area of the patio, in square meters.

Hence,

area of the backyard = 625 m²

Therefore, the inequality that represents the possible length of the patio is √A < 625.
