In lines 140-150, what hasn't changed is that the father still switches off the electricity generator at 10 p.m. and goes to sleep in his study. The expression "as was custom" marks that this has not changed.

The language that shows that the father is changing can be found in lines 141, 173 and 175-176:

In line 141 we learn that he does not use certain rooms ("rooms we'd stopped using").

In line 173 we read that the father "seemed lighter" and chatted with his son.

In lines 175-176 the father says that "now he might be able to come to the end-of-the-year recital" at his child's school.

Answer:

Greek culture spread throughout the non-Greek world.

Explanation: The Hellenistic period in history began with the conquests of Alexander the Great and was a time of military and political domination of the Greek Macedonians in the Mediterranean and the Middle and Middle East. The political dominance of Macedonians over other nations from Egypt and Syria all the way to India will be accompanied by Greek or Hellenic cultural influence. They would gradually make their place on the world stage before the Roman and conquests at the beginning of the 1st century BC.

The Hellenistic period is a time of connecting and pervading different cultures and religions of East and West, followed by the suppression of religious intolerance and national or tribal divisions. Numerous population migrations followed, the creation of new cities and states, and the gradual relocation of cultural centers from Greece and Mesopotamia to Syria and the eastern shores of the Mediterranean, especially in newly built or rebuilt cities.

Answer:

Write numbers in words that can be written in one or two words

Explanation:

Modern Language Association (MLA) is a method of writing mostly used in the  United States and is used by persons writing journals, classroom tasks and commercial purposes.

Traditionally, in MLA style numbers are written in words if there are only one or two words. For example: one hundred, five, twenty. But if the number is a decimal, fraction or it takes more than three words to write out then it must be written in numerical format. For example: 101, 28.56 and 2\frac{1}{2}.
