HELP ASAP! WRITING A SONG AND CAN'T THINK OF THE NEXT VERSE, MIGHT GIVE BRAINLIEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(If I can figure out how.

..)
Title: reminiscence

I remember the first time I saw you,
It's only been a few years since we last met,
How can I think of you with all the things I'm going through?
And I know I shouldn't fret,

I try to convince myself,
That there's no way you don't have someone else,
I've heard you've been struggling,
On your own now, it's definitely harder than it seems,

These stupid hormones,
Are making it difficult to let go,
But now you've got me reminiscing,
?????????????????????????????????

***What should I put here??? Feel free to make some modifications if needed, I appreciated the constructive criticism!!!***

The song is about an old friend of mine, and I find myself thinking about him a lot, even though it's been a few years since I last saw him. Our families are good friends and they would always come to visit, but they had moved and we barely see them now. I had grown close with him and had crushed on him but never admitted it, I'm thankful for our relationship, but I always fantisised about him! How could I not though? Every girl had fallen for his good looks, and jumped for any moment they could speak to him XD The song also talks about what I've heard about him from my family lately. I'm also confused as to why I'm thinking about him, because a few years ahve past and I know nothing of what he looks like now or what he's doing, and I blame it on my crazy hormones. I have the song "All These Years" by Camila Cabello playing in my head XD

"But now you've got me reminiscing,

my brain's become a broken T.V. screen."

Sorry this isn't amazing! I've never been too good at figuring out lyrics.

My inspiration for this was when you said, "I know nothing of what he looks like now or what he's doing", as it makes me imagine you trying to visualize him in your brain as if it could show you a picture of him like a TV screen. But since you cannot visualize him, perhaps the TV is "broken".

Fill up the blank :- A postsecondary school that has a set of requirements for admission is called..................
7nadin3 [17]
A post-secondary school that has a set of requirements for admission is called a selective college. This means that not everyone can enroll there - students have to have a high GPA, but also participate in a lot of extracurricular activities, community service, etc. There are more demands to get in a selective college than a non-selective one.

Duke Ellington was one of the first big band leaders to use the string bass as a solo instrument.
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington (April 29, 1899 – May 24, 1974) was an American composer, pianist, and leader of a jazz orchestra, which he led from 1923 until his death over a career spanning more than six decades.

Born in Washington, D.C., Ellington was based in New York City from the mid-1920s onward and gained a national profile through his orchestra's appearances at the Cotton Club in Harlem. In the 1930s, his orchestra toured in Europe. Although widely considered to have been a pivotal figure in the history of jazz, Ellington embraced the phrase "beyond category" as a liberating principle and referred to his music as part of the more general category of American Music rather than to a musical genre such as jazz.

Some of the jazz musicians who were members of Ellington's orchestra, such as saxophonist Johnny Hodges, are considered to be among the best players in the idiom. Ellington melded them into the best-known orchestral unit in the history of jazz. Some members stayed with the orchestra for several decades. A master at writing miniatures for the three-minute 78 rpm recording format, Ellington wrote more than one thousand compositions; his extensive body of work is the largest recorded personal jazz legacy, with many of his pieces having become standards. Ellington also recorded songs written by his bandsmen, for example Juan Tizol "Caravan", and "Perdido", which brought a Spanish tinge to big band jazz. In the early 1940s, Ellington began a nearly thirty-year collaboration with composer-arranger-pianist Billy Strayhorn, whom he called his writing and arranging companion. With Strayhorn, he composed many extended compositions, or suites, as well as additional short pieces. Following an appearance at the Newport Jazz Festival, in July 1956, Ellington and his orchestra enjoyed a major revival and embarked on world tours. Ellington recorded for most American record companies of his era, performed in several films, scored several, and composed a handful of stage musicals.

Ellington was noted for his inventive use of the orchestra, or big band, and for his eloquence and charisma. His reputation continued to rise after he died, and he was awarded a posthumous Pulitzer Prize Special Award for music in 1999.
