She is a perseverant woman, she does whatever she can to tackle racial problems, her family is from Calabar and her husband-to-be, Nnaemeka, is Igbo, her fiancé family objects to the marriage because of Nene's ethnical background, they eventually get married and she even helps solve a quarrel between her husband and his father by asking the father to come along and visit Nene and Nnaemeka's children.

The right answer is: perseverant. Nene is a very progressive woman which due to her profession as a teacher can not understand the anger to Nnaemeka´s father with their marriage. It is this progressivism what does not cause her to begrudge her husband even of the most painful of times.
