Answer:

He could buy 4 rolls. With a left over of $3. That 3 dollars cannot buy one more since it is not enough. 4.25 x 4 = 17.00

Use the diagram shown to find the volume of the sphere. Use 3.14 for pi. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

V =9.42 in^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The diameter is 3 inches

The radius is d/2 = 3/2 inches

The volume is

V = 4/3 pi r^2

V = 4/3 ( 3.14) ( 3/2) ^2

V =9.42 in^3

A rocket was launched into the air from a podium 6 feet off the ground. The rocket path is represented by the equation h(t)=-16t
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

60

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is:

h(t)=-16t^2+120t+6

The average rate of change of h(t) from t=a to t=b is given by:

\frac{h(b)-h(a)}{b-a}

We can rewrite this function as: h(t)=-16(t-3.75)^2+231

The maximum height of the rocket is 231 and it occurs at t=3.75

\implies h(3.75)=231

The initial launch occurs at: t=0

and h(0)=-16(0)^2+120(0)+6=6

The average rate of change from the initial launch to the maximum height is

\frac{h(3.75)-h(0)}{3.75-0}=\frac{231-6}{3.75-0} =60

How do functions and slopes work i dont understand anything work?
IrinaK [193]
Slope shows both steepness and direction. With positive slope the line moves upward when going from left to right. With negative slope the line moves down when going from left to right. If two linear functions have the same slope they are parallel.

(PLEASE HELP) The table below - does it represent an exponential function?
Aliun [14]
Short answer: I don't know, but that doesn't mean I can't give you something that you can decide for yourself.
y = 4*2^(2n - 2) is the pattern.
Go for broke. Try n = 4. You should get 256. Let's try it.
y = 4 * 2^(2*4 - 2)
y = 4 * 2^(8 - 2)
y = 4 * 2^6
y = 4 * 64
y = 256 yup it works.

The other end is just as important. Suppose n = 1
Then y = 4 * 2^(2*1 - 2) = 4 * 2^0 = 4*1 = 4 Both work.

If this formula is correct, we can abbreviate it to make your task easier.
y = 4 * 2^(2n - 2)
y = 2^2 * 2^(2n - 2)
y = 2^(2n - 2 + 2)
y = 2^(2n) Now try the two end points again.

n = 4
y = 2^(2*4)
y  =  2^8
y = 256

n = 1
y = 2^(2*1)
y = 2^2
y = 4 which again checks.

so y = 2^(2n) I think is an exponential function.
Sorry my explanation is so long.
