Answer:

A. Mountain forms

Explanation:

  • Its due to the continental plate is lighter than the oceanic plate the pale get subducted due to the slab push and slab pull effects. The continental plate further reaching the depth burns due to the pressure and intense temperature also this causing the melting of the rocks and leading to the formation of volcanoes and mountain chains of all sizes.
  • Mountain forms and is composed of lava and basaltic matter from below. The collision of the plate leads to the formation of faults along the boundaries this led to the formation of the many large mountains on earth.
  • The Himalayas are thereby known as the young fold mountains.

Hello! It’s not January or June, because one Hemisphere will be hot, while another one will be cold. November could work, but then it would get colder and colder from there. It has to be March, because that’s where the spring equinox begins, where the days are balanced and the temperature start to become moderate. The answer is C: March.

continental polar (cP) continental arctic (cA) continental tropical (cT) maritime polar (mP) maritime tropical (mT) a. Air
Basile [38]

Answer: C.

Air masses that are hot and dry, and are responsible for heatwaves of summer in the western half of the United States.

Explanation: Air masses have fairly uniform temperature and moisture content in the horizontal direction (but not uniform in vertical). Air masses are characterized by their temperature and humidity properties. The properties of air masses are determined by the underlying surface properties where they originate.

Air that stands over the Caribbean Sea, for example, becomes a warm, humid maritime tropical air mass, while air that lies in the Arctic regions of northern Canada takes on the cold and dry characteristics of its surroundings and becomes a continental polar air mass.

A rapid change in ocean density with change in depth is the:
pshichka [43]

Answer:

5. pycnocline.

Explanation:

Pycnocline is the rapid change in density of ocean water with depth. With increase in depth, ocean water tends to be denser. The two major factors that determine density in ocean water are temperature and salinity(salt contents). The denser water become in the ocean the more likely it sinks easily . This is one major factor that drive Ocean currents, the process is called thermohaline circulation.

The increase in salinity of ocean water causes an increase in density . This is because the salt become tightly pack and filled the water to make it denser .  This simply means an increase in saline content of ocean water causes an increase in the density.

Another factor that affects density is temperature. Water at the surface possesses higher temperature due to direct contact with the sun. Usually, the higher the temperature the less dense ocean water becomes . This is why surface water is less dense. As water becomes warm the molecule disperse, this account for it lower density . Colder water are usually higher in density .

Generally, an increase in ocean depth causes considerable increase in density because of it colder temperature and increased salinity contents.
