Assuming that "are you mentation" is meant to be "argumentation," the correct answer would be A. Argumentative writing and persuasive writing is the same thing, it's just called something different depending on the person talking about it.

Zarrin [17]

Hi there! Here are some definitions that I think make sense;

1. Alienation = Blocking out anything that is different.

2. Contend = To fight against something.

3. Conviction = Finding out the truth about somthing that was bad.

4. Designate = To set aside a special place for something.

5. Implement = To put something in a place that wasn’t there before.

6. Innovative = The ability to make the most out of your surroundings.

7. Spontaneously = Something unexpected.

I’m not exactly sure about number 3, but I think it‘s somthing like that... Have a good day/night!

Which literary device is most clearly used in this passage?
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

Your answer would be that the literary device used in the passage is an analogy.

Explanation:

In the passage above, the author has used the literary device called analogy. An analogy is a comparison in which a thing or an idea is compared to another thing which is a little different from it. Its purpose is to explain the original idea by comparing it to something that is familiar. In this case, a relationship is compared to the way the stock market works. The author explains that both of them have ups and downs and that, in both cases, you only get what you put into them.
