Answer:

Leonardo da Vinci

Explanation:

Although most of his life goes back to the 15th century, Leonardo (1452-1519) is nevertheless a typical Renaissance man, for the genius of his projects, for the diversity of his areas of interest, for his multifaceted personality. This is characterized by the restlessness and restlessness that lead him to continually change projects (so many and diverse are his interests and his eagerness for the new), to leave them unfinished, and, finally, by their demand, if not even obsession. , of perfection.

Leonardo da Vinci is, above all, a man radically interested in all fields of knowledge and knowledge. And if he is fundamentally known as a painter - one of the greatest painters of all time - and therefore has a guaranteed and prominent place in an art history - it is equally true that in this field he also devoted himself to sculpture (although all his sculptures have been lost) and the architecture.

He was also interested in engineering, namely military engineering, a field in which he invented a huge amount of machinery, from the famous flying machines whose designs we all know, to assault cars and submersibles.

His scientific work is amazing and immense. He studied mathematics, physics - especially in the fields of hydraulics and optics - and anatomy, whose designs are famous and reveal a century-old advance. Even today, his notes, drawings and illustrations in these fields can be found in the so-called Codex Atlanticus at the Milan Ambrosiana Library.

His vital interest seems to have been, therefore, scientific research. Due to this diversity of areas of interest and his genius in all of them, Leonardo far transcends the limits of an art history to be considered a figure belonging to the history of culture, the history of the human spirit and its achievements or, at least, least of their ambitions.
