The answer is D because it is going in the negative direction so you then narrowed it down to B and D bud it would have to have a negative y-intercept since the highest point there on a 6 unit long number line up, down, left, and right, would be ( -7 , 0 )

M= -4 - (-2)/2-(-2)
= -4 + 2 / 2 + 2
= -2/4

Y= -2/4x + b

Sub (-2,-2)

-2= -2/4 (-2) +b
-2= 1 + b
b= -2-1
b= -3

Therefore
Y= -2/4x -3

Question 10
Bond [772]

Answer:

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = 34

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of the circle with a center and a point

( x - a) ^2 + ( y - b) ^2 = r^2

( a, b) - the center of the circle

( x, y) - any point on the circle

r^2 - radius of the circle

( -3 , 6) - point - ( x, y)

x = -3

y = 6

( 2 , 3) - center-( a, b)

a = 2

b = 3

Step 1: substitute the center into the equation

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = r^2

Step 2: sub the point into the equation

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = r^2

( -3 - 2)^2 + ( 6 - 3)^2 = r^2

( -5)^2 + 3^2 = r^2

25 + 9 = r^2

34 = r^2

Step 3: sub the radius into the equation

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = r^2

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = 34

Therefore, the equation of the circle is

( x - 2)^2 + ( y - 3)^2 = 34

I need help with this question. I have no clue how to solve and don’t know how to put in calculator.
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

We only need to calculate one of the functions shown. I will be using |x| - 1 because it is the simplist.

|x| makes a V shape and we know it only goes from -1 to 1. And that means it can be A or D. Next we apply the -1 so that it will go down. The only option that fits this is option A.
