Answer:

The correct answer is B. Trench warfare would have been found in World War I, but not in World War II.

Explanation:

Trench warfare is a common form of position war in which the fronts consist of a system of trenches. The reason was the technically advancing artillery with more effective grenades and longer gun range as well as the advent of machine guns. At the same time, the mobility of these new weapons was low. The horses that had been used for mobilization until then were just as vulnerable to the increasing effects of weapons as humans.

Such large-scale trench warfare first occurred in 1854 in the Crimean War. Thereafter, trenches were fought, among other things, during the Civil War  and the Russo-Japanese War.

This type of warfare reached a bloody climax in the trench warfare of World War I. In the fighting in front of Verdun alone, more than 700,000 soldiers were killed or injured from February to December 1916, but the course of the front was almost unchanged at the end of the battle. In order to avoid these losses, movable combat command with armored vehicles was developed in Europe and the USA during the interwar period and implemented with the great tank battles at the beginning of World War II.

Which statement best describes U.S. foreign policy during the Monroe administration? A. The United States sought to establish co
crimeas [40]

Answer:

The answer is: C, The United States sought to expand its borders into Spanish territories.

Explanation:

The Monroe Administration flourished under James Monroe, the fifth President of the United States. Under his administration, he strengthened the <em>"American Foreign Policy</em>" by establishing the "Monroe Doctrine." This doctrine prevented the Europeans from expanding their territories towards the Western Hemisphere as well as South America (and other parts of the USA). The reason behind this was that <em>the USA wanted to expand its borders into Spanish territories. </em>The doctrine then strengthened the relationship between the <u>USA and South and Central America.</u>

As a result, the USA used the doctrine as an opportunity to venture into Latin America.

Thus, this explains the answer.

habakkuk prophesied in judah after the babylonian invasion and warned that the lord sent the babylonians to punish his people. T
alexandr402 [8]

The above statement was False. Because Habakkuk expresses concern about the fact that God will use the Babylonian kingdom to judge Judah's sins.

Who warned the people of Judah?

Jeremiah was imprisoned overnight for prophesying against Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah (Jeremiah 19-20). This was a punishment for openly despising and ridiculing criminals.

According to Isaiah 7:4, it was Isaiah who advised King Ahaz during the Dark Ages when Pekah, king of Israel, and Rezin, king of Syria, invaded Judah.

Hence, habakkuk does not prophesied in judah after the babylonian invasion and does not warned that the lord sent the babylonians to punish his people.
