The correct answer is:

Northern society became more diverse than southern due to heavy immigration through northern ports.

The North was an industrial region with factories, railroads, ports and a population of 21 million people. Their main production was paper, glass, textiles, and metal products. From 1840 to 1860, 4 million immigrants arrived in the North bringing new workers for the factories.

A state should be able to secede (break away) from the US if they disagree with the US government?
shtirl [24]
The Constitution does not directly mention secession, but the Supreme Court has consistently interpreted the Constitution to be an indestructible union. There is no legal basis a state can point to for unilaterally seceding. So basically, no, a state can not secede, it is blatantly illegal.

Tpy6a [65]
It was. The statue of Zeus at Olympia, carved out by the sculptor named Phidias in around 435 BC, was a majestic statue and was considered to be one of the wonders of the ancient world. It raised awe and made peopel forget their earthly troubles, as one Greek orator noted. Sadly, there are no remains of this statue to be found anymore.
