Given that a circle has a radius of 4inches and then a radius of 12inches after it has expanded. Given that the formula for a ci
nlexa [21]

Answer:

Rate of change = 3π or 9.43

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Initial radius, R1 = 4 inches

Final radius, R2 = 12 inches

To find the rate of change;

First of all, we would determine the area of the circle.

Mathematically, the area of a circle is given by the formula;

Area of circle = πr²

For initial radius, R1;

Area of circle, A1 = πR1²

Area of circle, A1 = 4π square inches

For final radius, R2;

Area of circle, A2 = πR2²

Area of circle, A2 = 12π square inches

Now, we can find the rate of change;

Rate of change = A2/A1

Rate of change = 12π/4π

Rate of change = 3π (in terms of pie).

Assuming that the distance that the hanging wall moves along the fault plane is the same for two comparable reverse faults with
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is B: The greater the angle of the fault, the greater the compression of the crust.

The most basic features to form in sedimentary basins under extension are normal faults. Normal faults are generally fairly steep, ie have a high dip angle. A fault will form in the crust when the extensional forces acting on it are great enough to cause failure along a fracture plane.

Cheers!

Whats an advantage of using a 1:1000 scale on a map
xeze [42]

Answer:

Well think about the size of our world. Its pretty big and it would be really hard to map something out the size of the world. Using a scale like this 1:1000 because it shows 1 for every 1000 miles or kilometers. Or even greater units of measurement, less spaced and yet still an accurate representation. If put through the backed scaled equation, you would get the actual size jsut by multiplying the number in this case 1 or more by 1000 and you’d get the exact measurements.
