Okay, so I actually did a lesson on this a few months ago. The answer is A.
If you want proof, just look at the matter of facts. It's not B because the Soviet Union was already in the war when this happened. Mussolini didn't fall from this, nor was Germany defeated. Instead, it marked a turning point in the war.
