The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you do not specify a specific topic to develop the argument. An argument about what?

What is your compelling question? We cannot cite evidence of your research because you did not mention what is the topic of your research.

If we can help with something, we are going to set our own example based on our own topic.

How about the following.

Compelling question:

Was the Revolutionary War the last option for Patriots to get Independence from Great Britain?

Argument/Evidence:

1.- Yes, it was the only option after the number of aggressions and aggravations from the British crown. The English government never had the "openness" to negotiate another valid solution.

2.- Colonists were sick and tired of the heavy taxation imposed by the English government. We are talking about injust taxation such as the Navigation Acts, the Stamp Act, the Townshend Act, or the Tea Act.

3.- The worst part of it was that colonists had to pay those taxations but they did not have a voice in the British Parliament.

What impact do you think world religions have on people and societies today ?
kolezko [41]

Postive effects could be that it brings people together, gives them a community for supporting each other, focuses their attention on God. It provides a moral framework, comfort for those in need, the promise of an afterlife... and so on.

Negative effects are that the different religions can be seen to inspire conflict in the world, some might say that they focus people too much on religious things rather than on day to day things (so you lose the plot basically!).

snow_lady [41]

Because they were so close to these rivers, they serve as sources of drinking water. What gave opportunity for people to settle and become sedentary, focusing initially on agriculture and land security, with this the population grew and avoided the risks of nomadic communities, not having to go to places unknown or dangerous or run out of food. Therefore, over time they then focused on more complex areas such as politics, economy and architecture. Promoting the development of the community that over the years were the foundations of modern civilization.
