PLEASE HELP!! Why do we multiply equations by -1? For example, if you need to re-arrange 2x + y = 3 into the form of (y=mx+b)... I got y = 3 - 2x but the answer is 2x - 3 (it is multiplied by one.)

The thing is you need to get the equation equal to y so you need to add or substrate any number that is with y.but I don't think that's right.because I got this.
