Solve

4y+8=6y+3
minus 4y from both sides
8=2y+3
minus 3 fro mboth sides
5=2y
divide both sides by 2
2.5=y

well, it it actually open since there is a variable
it is true, but only for 1 value of y

answer is OPEN

336 divided by 12 using partial quotients
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

The partial quotients are 20 and 8. The quotient is 28.

Step-by-step explanation:

The dividend is 336 and divisor is 12.

Find the easy factors of 12, which are less than 336.

12\times 10=120

12\times 20=240

12\times 30=360

Since 360>336, therefore 30 cannot be a partial quotient.

So, 20 is a partial quotient. Subtract 240 from 336. Apply this process till the dividend become 0.

The remaining dividend is

336-240=96

Find the easy factors of 12, which are less than 96.

12\times 8=96

The number 8 is a partial quotient.

96-96=0

Now the dividend is zero, so the partial quotients are 20 and 8. The quotient is the sum of partial quotients

20+8=28

The quotient is 28.

Trying to solve a exponential function question. Evaluate the function when t=5.
Gemiola [76]
If t=5 then all you do is plug that into the function:
h(t)=175(1028)5
You would start by multiplying 1028 by 5 which leaves you with 5140, now plug that into the function.
h(t)=175(5140)
multiply 175 and 5140
h(t)=899500
