The correct answer would be the second option. The message that the phrases "the consoling proximity of millionaires" and “white palaces of fashionable East Egg glittered” convey to the reader is that, financial wealth is desirable to the narrator. How does the theme develop in the short story To Build a Fire?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

First and foremost, it is a story of man versus nature. The theme of survival is central, as the man tries and fails to stand up against the elements in the brutally cold Canadian Yukon. This environment turns out to be too much for the unseasoned miner. Another theme shown in this story is the theme of pride

Explanation:

Themes are developed by authors through the following ways: What happens - key events. Characters - character qualities, character actions and how characters respond to situations may all relate to theme. ... Dialogue and internal character thoughts - characters may say or think something which directly relates to a theme

Which of the following events reveals that Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a medieval romance?
Yanka [14]
I believe that the event that reveals that Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a Medieval romance is C. Sir Gawain stands up to defend his lord against a supernatural being.
Romance in the name of the genre doesn't refer to love, but to heroic deeds and adventures. And Sir Gawain fighting for his lord against a monster is quite a heroic deed indeed.
