Answer:

Tan interesante/Como/Tantas/Francés/Amigos extranjeros/Diferencia.

Explanation:

1.Mario es tan interesante como Luis.

Mario is as interesting as Luis.

A phrase '' tan/como '' is used when we want to compare two nouns with an adjective or an adverb.

Between tan and como, we have an adjective.

In this case -- tan INTERESANTE como Luis.

We use it when we wanna describe some sort of the equality.

It can also have a meaning '' as well as ''.

Example:

Eres tan bonita como un ángel.

You are as beautiful as an angel.

2.Mario viaja tanto como Luis.

Mario travels as much as Luis.

In this example, we have tanto, which means '' so much '' / '' so many '' .

But, when it is used with COMO, like in this example, it means '' as much '' and '' as many ''.

It has many meanings so it can also be used for different comparisons. It's not only used as an adjective. Sometimes it's used as a noun, pronoun and adverb.

But in most common cases, it's used with a phrase that contains como in it.

Examples:

Tengo tantas amigas como mi hermana.

I have as many girlfriends as my sister.

Tengo diez y tantos minutos para terminar esto.

I have ten or so minutes to finish this.

No quiero llorar tanto.

I don't wanna cry this much.

3.Luis toma tantas clases de cocina como Mario.

Luis takes as many cooking classes as Mario.

Just like in the previous sentence, tanto/tantos/tanta/tantas is followed by como. So it has the meaning of '' as many as '' . We used tantas, because it's followed by classes which is in feminine plural form.

Examples:

Tengo tantas perras como ella.

I have as many dogs ( female ) as her.

Ella tiene tantas bolsas como yo.

She has as many purses as I do.

4.Luis habla Francés tan bien como Mario.

Luis speaks French as good as Mario.

In this examples, the phrase carries the meaning of '' as good as '' .

Like we talked earlier, the adverb is stuck in the middle between tan and como.

In this sentence, it shows us the equality of certain action.

Example:

Dibujo tan bien como Picasso.

I draw as good as Picasso.

Conduzco un automóvil tan rápido como un conductor de fórmula.

I drive a car as fast as a formula driver.

Soy tan bonita como una foto.

I am as pretty as a picture.

5.Mario tiene tantos amigos extranjeros como Luis.

Mario has as many foreign friends as Luis.

Like in the previous sentences, we have a phrase with tanto/tantos/tanta/tantas that's followed by como, so it carries the meaning that signifies '' as many as'' .

Examples:

Tengo tantas problemas como tu.

I have as many problems as you.

Tengo tantos defectos como cualquier ser humano.

I have as many flaws as any human being.

6.¡Qué casualidad! Mario y Luis también son hermanos, pero no hay tanta diferencia entre ellos como entre Lucila y Tita.

What a coincidence! Mario and Luis are brothers, but there is no much difference between them like between Lucila and Tita.

A phrase no hay tanta diferencia literally means '' there is not much difference '' .

Like I wrote earlier, in this case, this phrase carries the meaning of '' so much '' but in a negation, which means '' not so much ''.

We don't have an adverb between tanto and como, so it keeps its original meaning.

I'm going to provide some of the examples:

No hay mucha diferencia entre los gemelos.

There's no much difference between the twins.

Hay mucha diferencia entre el color rosa y rojo.

There's much difference between pink and red color.
