His experiment with his swan. Expedia flask disproved spontaneous generation in that broth was left open to air yet no life grew in the broth, the neck design of the flash trapped all possible contaminates. This broth today is still sterile despite sitting in a museum for decades.

Answer:

Louis Pasteur disproved the theory of spontaneous generation by swan neck experiment.

Explanation:

He showed that in the flask which was open to air, new living organisms arose while no life appeared in the flask which was not open to air (in the flask with swan neck). He showed that life did not come from the killed yeast in the flask with curved neck where as in the other flask which was open to air, new organisms arose from killed yeast.

The purpose was not to show that new organisms came from killed yeast but to explain that it was actually the "air" in which living organisms were present that entered the flask when it was kept open to air. Thus life comes from pre-existing living organisms.

What was the actual proportion of the basis for equal amounts of DNA
Stells [14]

Answer:

Equal amounts of DNA contain equal proportions of nitrogenous bases.

Explanation:

According to Chargaff's rule, the nitrogenous base pairs (Purines and pyrimidines) have an equal ratio (1:1) in the DNA of all the organisms. More precisely, the amount of adenine is equal to thymine and the amount of guanine is equal to cytosine in the DNA of all the organism. A-T base pair has two H-bonds while G-C base pair has three H-bonds.

the fertilization of ovules from plant Q by pollen from plant R results in the productions of seeds. What percent of the genes i
Helga [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is - zero or 0%.

Explanation:

The fertilization in flowering plants takes place by fusing the pollen of one plant or flower with the ovum of another plant or flower of the same species normally and form a zygote. The zygote gets an equal amount of genetic material from both parent plants by the process f exchange of the genetic material.

The ovum or the egg cell of the plant is considered as the mother and the mother is responsible for the chloroplast And mitochondria of the progeny so in this case, the ovum and egg cell comes from the only plant Q thus, the percentage of chloroplast genes provided via Plant R is 0%.

Generally, the hormones secretin and cholecystokinin which are released by duodenal enteroendocrine cells will ________. decreas
aniked [119]

Answer:

c. increase the release of digestive enzymes and bile

Explanation:

Secretin and cholecystokinin are hormones produced in the duodenal region of the small intestine. They are both involved in the release of digestive enzymes and bile.

Secretin is actively involved in controlling the pH of the chyme when it enters the duodenum from the stomach. It does so by inhibiting the release of gastric acid from the parietal cells in the stomach. Secretin induces the release of sodium bicarbonate ions from the pancreas which help to increase the pH of the chyme. This hormone also stimulates the secretion of bile.

Cholecystokinin (CCK) stimulates the contraction of the gallbladder and the release of bile into the duodenum. CCK also acts on the pancreas, stimulating it to produce pancreatic juices for digestion.
