A rhetorical device is a use of language that is intended to have an effect on its audience. Repetition, figurative language, and even rhetorical questions are all examples of rhetorical devices. This is the definition of rhetorical language and i hope this helps.

Rhetorical language is a technique that an author or speaker uses to convey the listener or reader a meaning with the goal of persuading him or her towards considering a topic from a different perspective, using sentences designed to encourage or provoke a response from the listener or reader. hope this helps :)
