Within the federal judicial system we have:
- The Supreme Court: is the highest authority within the judicial system of the entire country. It is responsible for specific cases in which constitutional law must be applied. It is also responsible for reviewing and supervising the activities of the national congress and the president of the republic.
- US Courts of Appeal: They are responsible for hearing appeals related to federal agencies and the documents and activities carried out by them.
- Special Federal Courts: They are responsible for activities related to federal taxes and policies aimed at the economy, immigrants, commerce, among others.
- US District Courts: They are the lowest branch of the federal judicial system and are responsible for prosecuting cases of violation of federal law
Within the system of state courts we have:
