In the short story A visit to grandma by Melvin Kelley Charles' relationship with his mother is very strained. As the novel ends after having an argument at the dinner table about how she treated Charles and his brother GL differently when they were children. In the final part of the novel Charles is upset in his room as GL arrives eager to see Charles again not knowing what has just happened between his mother and brother. In the future Charles may come to realise that his mother was only trying to protect him and she did that in the best way that she could even if that did mean treating the two boys very differently as they were growing up.

Identify these excerpts from a speech about planting trees as part of the introduction or the conclusion of a speech.
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

Excerpt 1 is part of the conclusion of a speech.

Except 2 is part of the introduction of a speech.

Except 3 is part of the introduction of a speech.

Explanation:

Except 1 is part of the conclusion because it is talking about what the audience should do after they have heard about planting trees and the actual problem. In other words, it is talking about what we should do for a better future.

Except 2 is part of the introduction because it is someone who is introducing herself to the audience before starting her speech.

Except 3 is part of the introduction too, since the speaker decided to start talking about planting trees with a poem that is related to the topic.
