If 0.25 in on a drawing is 12 ft in real life, than 1 in on the drawing is 48 ft in real life.

Just divide 15 by 48

15/48=0.3125

So the length of 15 in real life to a drawing is 0.3125 inches.

Given the system of equations, what is the solution?

x + 2y = 11
x - 2y = -1
zhenek [66]

We need to solve x+2y=11 for x

Let's start by adding -2y to both sides

x+2y -2y = 11-2y

x= -2y+11

Now substitute -2y+11 for x in x-2y =-1

x-2y=-1

-2y+11-2y=-1

-4y+11=-1

Add -11 to both sides

-4y+11-11=-1-11

-4y=-12

Divide both sides by -4

-4y/-4 = -12/-4

y= 3

Substitute 3 for y in x=-2y+11

x= -2y+11

x = (-2)(3)+11

x=-6+11

x=5

The answer is x=5 and y=3

(5,3)

I hope that's help:)

Someone please help me with math linear equations 3x + 2y = 12
vodka [1.7K]
3x + 2y = 12
subtract 3x from both sides
2y = -3x + 12
divide all terms by 2 so that you can have only the y on the left side
y = -3/2x + 6
And that is your answer!

Hope this helped!! :)

If a point inside the rectangle was chosen at random what is the probability that it is on the left side of the center line
Lerok [7]
A center line of a rectangle divides it into 2 equal pieces. Therefore, the chance that the point will be on the left, or the right side for that matter, side of the rectangle is 50%.
