Geography

Answer:

Stormy and windy

Explanation:

Low-pressure weather systems usually bring windy and stormy weather, it's considered "bad weather".

In a low-pressure system, the air is warmed up by the ground, raises in the air bringing humidity from the ground up in the sky.  The air going up creates winds and clouds.  That can lead to a cloudy sky, to winds and even precipitations.  That's why it's usually considered "bad weather".

The opposite, the high-pressure systems, are usually associated to "good weather" with a clear sky and all.

Which of the following best describes a fault? a. A giant gap or canyon at the Earth's surface. b. A cave or large hole hidden u
gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

The correct answer is E. A fault is best described as fractured rock that has been displaced.

Explanation:

Transforming faults are lithospheric plate limits where there is neither subduction nor creation of lithosphere. They are located on the edge of tectonic plates and cut the ridges perpendicularly. The borders near this type of fault are geologically active (earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.).

The most famous transforming fault is that of San Andreas. It is in fact a set of transforming faults which ensures the sliding of the Pacific plate against the North American plate.

What is the weather and geography like in Africa?
kifflom [539]

Answer:

South Africa is a relatively dry country, with an average annual rainfall of about 464 mm. While the Western Cape gets most of its rainfall in winter, the rest of the country is generally a summer-rainfall region. South Africa's coastal regions are therefore relatively warm in winter.

So in short: Hot and dry.

Hope this helps :)

galben [10]

A cyclic change in the earth system repeats the same steps over and over, though not necessarily with the same results or at the same rate.

The Earth's climate cycles across a wide range of time scales, from years to decades to centuries to millennia. Different physical processes can start cycles at different scales. All of these layered systems and cycles working in concert determine the climate over any particular period.

Scientists examine Earth's cycles in an effort to understand how our world functions. Our planet's climates can vary as a result of modifications to Earth's cycles. Our understanding of how humans are influencing these cycles and how that can transform the world will grow as we learn more about them.
