When corporations can legally influence law, such as with lobbyists, this takes away the voice from the people and puts power in the hands of the few. Those who have the most money become law. This allows a small group to exploit the human weakness of greed, by subverting congress to listen to big business rather than their constituents. This sacrifices progress for the sake of profit.</span>
