Answer:

He stopped the Muslim advance in France

Explanation:

Charles Martel was a statesman and a military leader of the Franks during mid-8th century. At that time, the Iberian peninsula was under Muslim rule and the Muslim armies of the kingdom of Abderrahman marched further into the North. By 725 they had already conquered the Languedoc and much of Burgundy and were trying to reach the center of the Frankish territory, but they faced the armies of Charles Martel.

Charles Martel forced them to retire to the Rhone Valley in 736, conquered Avignon in 737 with his brother Childebrand, but did not get Narbonne. Then he allied with the Lombards to reconquer Provence. All the lords who had collaborated with the Arabs were punished and their property distributed among the Frankish warriors. The Muslim armies were expelled from France. These battles helped to unify the Frankish kingdom around Charles Martel.

dsp73

Answer:

Secondary source

Explanation:

We have two types of sources of information namely; Primary sources and secondary sources. Primary sources are documents or an event that happens when a researcher is at the field. Primary sources are first-hand accounts while the secondary sources are events that have occurred before or looking into the past.

From the above question, we can see that the princess is a researcher that wants to know the history of past princesses. The princess journal serves as a secondary source of information because it contains stories that have happened before.
