There were many contribution to Herbert Hovers election. The fact this opponent was Roman Catholic led a lot of anti-catholics to vote for Hover instead. The economy was also great at that time and the Republican party had taken full credit for it and Herbert Hoover was a Republican so as a Republican in that time he represented prosperity.
