The correct answer is B) The three North American nations share borders and have different natural resources, making trade more likely. Nations that trade with each other are less likely to go to war.

<em>The statement that best describes how factors such as natural resources, physical characteristics, and the relative location of North American nations may have helped prevent war between them are:  The three North American nations share borders and have different natural resources, making trade more likely. Canada, the United States, and Mexico have a long history of peace between them. Although they have had its permanent conflicts in the 1800s and the early part of the 1900s, after the Mexican Revolution that ended in 1917, the three countries have had its ups and downs in their foreign policies but the three of them are considered friends and allies. This good relationship allowed to reach an agreement in January 1993 for the creation of NAFTA, the North America Free Trade Agreement between the three mentioned countries. It worked out so well for all these years. The agreement was recently renegotiated and now has a new name: USMCA. The United States, Mexico, and Canada Agreement.
