The American federation (AFL) which was founded in 1886 by Samuel Gompers. during the period of its pinnaclehad approximentley 1.4 million Supporter /members

After Civil War a union named "Knights of Labor" was created but it soon dissapeared. The man normally known as the founder of the first Union was Samuel Gompers, who founded the "American Federation of Labor" in 1886.

An interest group (also called an advocacy group, lobbying group, pressure group, or special interest) is a group, however loosely or tightly organized, that is determined to encourage or prevent changes in public policy without trying to be elected. So based off this knowledge, we can eliminate C. :) I don't think it's A or B because they are more concerned with change and advocacy than a "free time" thing.
